FD Direct Limited (company no. 4035641) trading as EquityFC and EquityInterim ("EquityFC") is committed to preserving the privacy of all users of http://www.equityfc.com/ ("the Website"). Please read the following privacy policy to understand how EquityFC uses and protects the information that you provide to EquityFC.

By using this Website, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this policy.

EquityFC is a specialist financial recruitment company. For the purposes of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (as amended) ("the Conduct Regulations") EquityFC operates as an employment agency because it recruits for permanent positions or fixed-term assignments direct with EquityFC's clients. FD Direct Limited is registered as a data controller under the Data Protection Act 1998 under registration number Z6661530.

Information that EquityFC collects from you

Please ensure that all information supplied to EquityFC (including in any curriculum vitae or other application documentation) is accurate and up-to-date and inform EquityFC of any changes to information you have supplied as soon as is reasonably possible in order for EquityFC to maintain the accuracy of information held on you. EquityFC may also collect information about your usage of this Website as well as information about you from messages you post to this Website, e-mails, e-mail attachments or letters you send to EquityFC, interviews and telephone calls.

Use of your information

Your information will enable EquityFC to supply you with services. It will also enable EquityFC to contact you where necessary. EquityFC will also use and analyse the information it collects so that EquityFC can administer, support, improve and develop its business and services.

In particular, EquityFC will use your information to ask you for your views on the services, to notify you occasionally about important changes or developments to the Website or the services, to keep in general contact and:

  • if you are a candidate, to contact you about any vacancies that you may be interested in (unless you request otherwise); or
  • if you are a client or potential client, to inform you about candidates whom you may be interested in.

If EquityFC creates a record of your information, EquityFC will keep any such record for at least one year from the date of its creation. If EquityFC provides services to you in the course of its business as an employment agency, EquityFC will keep any such record for at least one year after the date on which EquityFC last provides such services to you.

If you are a candidate, you should note that neither EquityFC nor any of its staff will be liable to you for any loss, injury, damage, expense or delay incurred or suffered by you arising in connection with any introduction to or employment by any employer (including the withdrawal of an offer by any employer).

Disclosure of your information

In the course of supplying you with services, EquityFC may disclose your details to:

  • if you are a candidate, EquityFC's clients, other potential employers or engagers, other recruitment companies or intermediaries involved in managing the supply of personnel to clients, and/or to other companies in the same group as EquityFC; or
  • if you are a client or potential client, to potential candidates.

If EquityFC enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed to EquityFC's new, or potential, business partners or owners. By providing EquityFC with your information, you consent to EquityFC disclosing your information to its new, or potential, business partners or owners if one of these situations arises.

EquityFC may disclose or transfer your information to countries outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") if, for example, you wish to be considered for a vacancy outside the EEA. By submitting an application for a position or assignment outside the EEA or by indicating that you would like clients outside the EEA to view your details, you consent to EquityFC disclosing your information to that client, or those clients, outside the EEA.

Unless required or permitted to do so by law, EquityFC will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to EquityFC without your consent.
